More than ten people were believed to remain trapped in a wholesale market that had been ravaged by fire in south China's Guangdong Province on Thursday afternoon, witnesses said.
The fire broke out at about 1:51 p.m. in a warehouse on the fourth floor of a small merchandise wholesale market in Huidong County. It had been put under control by 7:35 p.m., the county government said in a statement.
Fire fighters have rescued three people and are still searching for the others.
