The aircraft's pilot and stewardesses remain unaccounted for as rescuers continue to search for survivors at the crash site.
The last communication from one of the pilots was "Mayday Mayday engine flameout", according to an air traffic control recording on liveatc.net.

TransAsia Airways' share price slumped 6.9 percent after the crash and soon reached the maximum decline limit of 7 percent.
Taiwan's share prices closed up 0.68 percent on Wednesday with the weighted index up 65.19 points at 9,513.92.
Turnover totaled 95.64 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 3.05 billion U.S. dollars) during the trading session.

A Taiwan TransAsia Airways plane crashed into a Taipei river on Wednesday morning, 13 have died and three are in a critical condition, a Xinhua correspondent on the scene reported.
