The bus company in Neijiang city, Sichuan province, plans to install 30 electronic bus stop signs in the city's urban areas in the next three years, the West China Metropolis Daily reported on Wednesday.

The electronic signs will use GPS systems to monitor the buses, and will tell passengers how long it will take for the next bus to arrive.

A resident surnamed Li said that she was happy with the project, saying that it would allow her to get to work on time.

Separately, the Chengdu-based Tianfu Morning Post reported that the provincial capital will install 4,000 electronic bus stop signs this year, taking the total number to 4,500.
