Student arrested in China professor murder case

NANJING - Police in east China's Jiangsu province said Friday they had arrested a college student on suspicion of murdering his professor.

Police in Zhenjiang city said they were informed around 8 a.m. that a man surnamed Lu, who was vice dean of a college under the Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, had been found murdered in his office.

A senior student surnamed Lu was arrested at 10:40 a.m., and he has confessed to the crime, according to police. The inquiry is continuing, they added.
