China's fiscal revenue in the first two months of 2012 was 2.09 trillion yuan ($332 billion), up 13.1 percent - 242 billion yuan - over the same period last year, the Ministry of Finance said in an online statement on Monday.

The growth speed registered a significant drop compared with that of 36 percent in Jan and Feb 2011 and the yearly growth of 24.8 percent last year.

The decline was a result of slowing industrial output, falling prices and structural tax cuts, according to the ministry.

Among the sub-categories of revenue, personal income tax fell 3.9 percent - 5.7 billion yuan - year-on-year to 141 billion yuan, as the country modifies tax standards on salaries.

Property sales tax also saw a decrease of 22.7 percent year on year as it was affected by the shrinking sales of commercial housing by 21 percent in the first two months of this year.

Fiscal expenditure stood at 1.39 trillion yuan, an increase of 32.8 percent - 344 billion yuan - over the same period last year.
