The East-West Center welcomed 117 new student fellows from 35 countries and territories, including EWC’s first-ever student from Serbia, its first student since 1974 from the Pacific Island nation of Niue, and its first student from Brunei since 1965. Among the incoming student fellows are the first recipients of two new EWC scholarship programs: The Aceh-Human Resources Development Commission Fellowship and the Brunei-US Doctoral Fellowship.
