The National Development and Reform Commission, China's top economic planner, is working on, and will soon issue, guidance to encourage flows of private investment into the logistics industry, it said on Wednesday.
Analysts said development of the logistics industry could facilitate the country's cargo flows, which would in turn boost domestic consumption.
Members of the NDRC have held discussions with various local governments about problems they encountered in constructing logistics parks.
They are also working jointly with China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, an industry association, and industry research institutes on the framework for another set of guidance to improve the layout, management and other aspects in developing logistic parks across the country.
More measures to tighten up regulation, while encouraging more private investment, will help resolve hurdles to the development of the country's logistics industry, said a report by Changjiang Securities Co Ltd.
