China Daily website is inviting you to share Chengdu Story with us! and here are some points that we hope will help contributors:

The young shouldn't come to Chengdu and the old shouldn't leave

I have been living in China for almost four years and I can tell you that Chengdu is a city you shouldn't miss. If you’re familiarized with the language, you will find interesting the title on the top that actually is Chinese saying "SuYu" (proverb) about Chengdu. Well yeah! The saying it's totally true.

If you have no idea about mandarin, no problem, you can spend the most amazing experience ever, because you are in the right place. So I would talk about three different places – of course Chengdu possess more than that. First Leshan Mountain, second Chengdu downtown and finally the Panda Research Base.

Leshan Mountains

The blue sky, the huge mountains and the proximity with the clouds make you feel in a dream. Walking through the clouds, you will find inspiration, relaxation and a peaceful experience here.Everywhere in Chengdu is like a poem.

Chengdu old downtown

With the small alleys, the people hanging out, smoking their cigars, drinking tea, watching the time passes by. It feels like you are into a movie or into a book, and you are part of it. If you know mandarin, I highly recommend you to talk with the people there, you will find a lot of tips, places to tea, stories and the secrets that just the local people know.

Panda Research Base

I found out my passion for pandas at the Panda Research Base. I always saw them in the television or on the Internet, but never live. They are really big, and strong. I saw one of them climbing as faster as firecracker cracks on the air. Don't be late. I recommend you to spend the night in hostel at the mountain, and the next day you should arrive the earliest you can, because these fascinating animals take a rest at 12 am and then they look a bit sleepy.
