Julian Assange, who founded the disclosure website on Oct. 4, 2006, said new materials would be released over each of the next 10 weeks, but did not give any concrete information regarding the form of publication.

The anticipated revelations about the U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton did not happen at the press briefing marking the 10-year anniversary of the website's founding.

Wikileaks had published previously thousands of emails of the Democratic National Committee.

Assange is wanted by the Swedish government for an allegation of rape against him, which he denies. He was granted asylum by Ecuador in 2012 and has stayed in the embassy of Ecuador in London since then.
