Myanmar's Lower House elects U Htin Kyaw as vice-president

NAY PYI TAW - 's House of Representatives (Lower House) Friday elected U Htin Kyaw of the ruling National League for Democracy (NLD) as one of the three vice-presidents to be submitted to the two-House Union Parliament for presidential run after qualification scrutiny.

U Htin Kyaw won the vote against Dr. Sai Mauk Kham, nominated by the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP), by 274-29.
