ASEAN Secretary-General to start Malaysia tour

KUALA LUMPUR - The Secretary-General of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), Le Luong Minh, will be arriving here Wednesday on a working visit, officials said.

During his three-day tour, Le is expected to discuss issues concerning Malaysia's role as the Chairman of ASEAN and bring about an understanding between Malaysia and the ASEAN Secretariat on matters including the upcoming establishment of the ASEAN Community at the end of the year, said the sources.

Le, on his visit, will also pay a courtesy call on Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and Foreign Minister Seri Anifah Aman.
