Malaysia sends volunteers to help flood affected states

The aid mission would also distribute contributions of essential goods to the flood victims.

In his speech at the ceremony of sending off flood relief volunteers' convoy, Muhyiddin called on more people and government employees to come forward voluntarily to ease the burden of the flood victims.

Malayasia's government confirmed the massive flood that hit the northeastern states was one of the worst in Malaysia's history and Kelantan was the worst hit in the history of the state. Over 200, 000 people were brought to hundreds of relief centers.

According to Muhyiddin,the damage caused by the flood will cost billions of ringgit.
