NEW DELHI -- At least 151 flights and 98 trains have been disrupted due to dense fog in the Indian capital Monday, officials said.

"Fog has disrupted air services heavily. Some 137 flights were delayed and 14 others cancelled due to low visibility because of dense fog this morning," a senior aviation official said.

Bad weather has affected train services also.

"While nearly 78 trains to and from the national capital have been running late due to low visibility, 20 others were rescheduled," a senior railway official said.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in the national capital dipped to 2.6 degrees Celsius, according to an official in the meteorological department.

Fog is common in the Indian capital, particularly during the winter months of December and January.
