JAKARTA -- The Indonesian government will check the safety of all AirAsia planes operating in Indonesia after the missing of one of the budget airliner planes on Sunday with 162 people on board, a minister said here on Monday.

"We will carry out checks, and also review operation of AirAsia in Indonesia to convince (customers) in the future that all the activities will be better," Indonesian Transport Minister Ignasius Jonan told a press conference at main Soekarno-Hatta airport.
