Migrant worker returns 130,000 yuan to owner

It was not an easy decision to return the money he found, but one migrant worker decided to be honest in the end.

On Jan 17, Wu Xuede, a migrant worker who works in Nanjing, found a bag containing 130,000 yuan ($23,939) in a street on Jan 17.

For a 48-year-old who earned only 4,000 yuan in half a year, and has two young sons who need money for getting married, the money was very tempting to Wu, as he later admitted.

"It could take me up to 3,000 years to collect 130,000 yuan," said Wu. Nevertheless, the honest farmer handed in the money to the police eventually after a three-day hesitation.

"I'm not a bad person. I admit I hesitated, but I'll never take the money. " Wu said, reported the Nanjing-based Modern Express newspaper.
