After the unveiling the new World Expo Shanghai mascot named Haibao, in a single night the city is plastered with images of the cute little blue guy.

Haibao seems to have been warmly welcomed by local residents. People on their way to work see him everywhere -- along the elevated road, on buildings in downtown and in metro stations.

As Haibao gains notoriety in Shanghai, Song Zhongcheng, in charge of outdoor advertisement promotion with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, is very excited. He says the actual effect is beyond his expectations.

The organizers said it was made possible by thousands of workers working all night to decorate with flags and banners around the city.
