The Ninth Asia Arts Festival kicked off on Sep.20 in Nantong, in east China's Jiangsu Province. Focusing on cultural exchanges between China, Japan, and South Korea, the festival was attended by China's cultural minister, Sun Jiazheng.

The Ninth Asia Arts Festival in east China's Jiangsu Province aims to promote cultural exchange between China, Japan, and South Korea, a goal attested in the "Nantong Declaration" signed. Embracing the theme: "The Heart's Longing, a New Future," the festival also marks the 35th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan diplomatic relations, and the 15th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea.
