The 6th edition of the Chinese Film Festival in France (CFFF) will take place from May 24 to July 19, with a selection of 11 Chinese films released between 2015 and 2016, Su Xu, director of the China Cultural Center in Beijing, told a press conference Monday.

"This year, the 6th CFFF will be held firstly in Strasbourg and then continue in several cities in France, including Lyon, Marseille, Cannes, Biarritz, and the island of Reunion, an overseas department of France," said Su.

While emphasizing the rapid development of Chinese market, which "is becoming the world's largest market for film," Plazanet Michel, deputy director of European and International Affairs of the French National Center of Cinematography and the moving image (CNC), noted that "China is now an essential and priority partner for CNC" and "the festival is very important to introduce the Chinese cinema."
