Exhibition of innovation and entrepreneurship held at Sichuan University

An exhibition featuring achievements made by Sichuan University alumni worldwide was held on the university's Wangjiang campus on Wednesday.

Sponsored by the university's alumni association and the Chengdu municipal bureau of science and technology, the exhibition was aimed at providing new technology for producers of commodities, said the university's deputy Party chief, Li Xiangcheng.

Sichuan University is one of China's first demonstration bases for innovation and entrepreneurship designated by the State Council, which is China's central government.

During his visit to the university earlier this year, Premier Li Keqiang encouraged the university to be a leader in innovation and entrepreneurship and turn more of the fruits of scientific research into products, Li Xiangcheng said.

The exhibition was among the activities marking the university's 120th anniversary.
