Baby dolphins to debut on Mother's Day

Two dolphin cubs, bred at an ocean park in Guangdong province, and their mothers will meet visitors on Sunday, according to the park.

The event will be one of the activities organized by the Chimelong Ocean Park in Zhuhai, Guangdong, to celebrate Mother's Day for the marine animals.

The cubs, born on Oct 26 and Dec 5 last year, respectively, were the first group of dolphins bred at the park. The older cub, a male, is named Qiqi and the younger, Miaomiao, is female.

The mother dolphins, which are named Xixi and Qinqin, are from the Solomon Islands and the South China Sea.

The ocean park, which is located in Hengqin, near Macao, now has more than 50 dolphins.
