Others who received huge amounts
Bo Xilai, a former member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China's Central Committee, was sentenced to life in prison in 2013 for corruption, bribery and abuse of power. Bo was convicted of taking 20.44 million yuan ($3.3 million) of bribes.
Liu Zhijun, former railways minister, was sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve in July 2013 for accepting 64.6 million yuan of bribes and abuse of power.
Ni Fake, former vice-governor of Anhui province, known for his appetite for jade and art, was sentenced to 17 years in prison for taking more than 13 million yuan in bribes.
Li Daqiu, former vice-chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region's committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for taking bribes worth 10.95 million yuan in October.
