In an effort to attract more talents to the city, the government in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, lifted the hukou, or household registration, restrictions on college graduates.

College graduates can now get a Wuhan hukou after they have worked in the city for two years, according to the city government.

There were 270,000 college graduates in Wuhan city last year, but only 80,000 of them worked in the city after graduation, according to a report of the People's Daily.

The city government aimed to attract 100,000 college graduates through the new policy, according to the report.
