It is said that there are only two teeth of Sakyamuni Buddha left on earth: one is preserved at a village in Sri Lanka and the other is in China, precisely, in the basement of Taizi Lingzong Tower in Wenshang county, Jining. The Taizi Lingzong Tower was first built in Song Dynasty(AD960-1279) with 13 floors of 41.74 meters. It stands in Baoxiang Temple.
In 1977 it was announced as the important protection unit of cultural relic of the Shandong province.
In 1994, some precious Buddihism relics were excavated in the palace and now stand in the museum.
