Collection of provincial Party chiefs

Sun Zhengcai was elected secretary of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on May 6, 2012.

Sun, born in August 1963, was elected to the post at the first plenary meeting of the 10th CPC Jilin Provincial Committee held in Jilin.

Sun was born in Rongcheng, Shandong Province. He joined the CPC in 1988.

Sun was Agriculture Minister and non-voting participant in the annual parliamentary session until November, 2009, when he was appointed secretary of the provincial committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Jilin, a major agricultural province in northeast China.
