Appropriation and other anomalies related to about 1.3 billion yuan ($204.6 million) in foreign aid have been dealt with, the Department for International Development of the United Kingdom said on Wednesday.
Liu Yang, in the department's China office, said the National Audit Office last summer gave the office auditing reports that noted the anomalies. The issues mentioned were not significant and have been dealt with, she said.
The report, which was released to the public on Monday, said about 1.3 billion yuan in foreign money from the Department for International Development and other international organizations had been misused.
