Chinese President Hu Jintao Thursday pledged on China and India to discuss maritime dialogue while meeting Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The meeting between Hu and Singh took place after the fresh conclusion of the India-hosted annual BRICS leadership meeting, which also groups leaders from Brazil, Russia and South Africa.
Hu said China and India should enhance political trust by enlarging the exchanges among all sectors and explore "conducting discussion and dialogues on new sectors including maritime cooperation."
Hu also said the two countries can cooperation in infrastructure building, information technology, mutual investment, and environment protection.
