The price of feverfew and yellow chrysanthemum flowers have risen 10 yuan per bundle with Tomb-sweeping Day approaching, nearly triple the ordinary price in Shenzhen, South China, according to Southern Metropolitan Daily.

Tomb-sweeping Day is a traditional Chinese festival, usually occurring around the beginning of April, when people normally bring chrysanthemums to tombs in memory of the dead.

The chrysanthemums on sale in Shenzhen come mainly from Yunnan province, Southwest China. The drought in Yunnan is the fundamental cause of its price rise in Shenzhen, the newspaper claims.
