In 2013, the Secretariat of the Boao Forum for Asia has continued to expand comprehensive cooperation with mainstream media. The Secretariat will not only increase the quantity and improve the quality of its domestic coverage but also leverage the overseas networks of its media partners to expand publicity overseas.

As for daily media work, the BFA has started to plan the establishment of a media circle, and reached consensus with more than 30 senior media leaders at a number of media outlets. Meanwhile, the Secretariat has actively stepped up media services for BFA members and tried to offer the following services, hoping that member enterprises will make more suggestions:

1. Institutions of the media circle have promised to provide BFA member organizations with complimentary publications, subscription discounts and advertising services below the market price. Currently, 16 media organizations have agreed to join the scheme.

2. Conduct interviews with BFA members. The Secretariat and China Economic Weekly have jointly organized serial tailored in-depth reports on BFA sponsors and members. Five sponsors and member organizations have taken part.

3. Undertake on-site tours of member enterprises.

As for coverage, the BFA Annual Conference 2013 has attracted special attention as a new leadership takes office in China. All leading media such as CCTV, Phoenix TV, Global Times and Economic Daily have strengthened their reporting team for the BFA annual conference. Reporters have actively registered for the event. So far, more than 1,000 reporters from 200 Chinese and foreign media have signed up.
