BEIJING -- Net profit of PetroChina Company Limited rose 5.6 percent in the first half of 2013 from a year earlier, the company said on Thursday.
Net profit hit 65.52 billion yuan ($10.62 billion) during the six-month period, and sales revenue grew 5.2 percent to 1.1 trillion yuan, according to a company statement.
The company's crude oil output rose 2.6 percent year on year to 464.2 million barrels. Its natural gas output climbed 8.1 percent year on year to 1.4 trillion cubic feet, the statement said.
The rises in the company's revenue mainly resulted from soaring sales and prices in crude oil, natural gas, gasoline and diesel, the statement added.
