 Large Medium  SmallA newly built rural housing estate that covers an area of 8.18 hectares has been put into service on Oct 15, 2012 at Liushugou county, Hami prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. The first group of 30 herdsmen has moved out of the mountains and into their bright and spacious new homes.
So far, 9792 families, or 37913 people who used to live in remote pastoral areas have been moved to new houses in Hami prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. The relocation has effectively improved the living environment and production conditions of farmers and herdsmen in the prefecture.
