Should we worry about China's economic slowdown?

Editor's note: China's economy grew at 7.4 percent in 2014, its slowest rate since 1990, raising concerns that the world's second-largest economy is about to suffer a "hard landing". What do you think? Forum readers share their views and you're welcome to add yours.

Slowing down, from the dizzying heights of growth it has been experiencing, might be a good thing. China should now concentrate on bolstering the internal market which will strengthen its resilience against huge fluctuations in the rest of the world. Improvements in healthcare and social provision are now a must.
