Beihai Industrial Park reported that the park realized an industrial output value of 28.5 billion yuan ($459 million) in 2012, a year-on-year growth of 61.46 percent. It also saw fixed asset investments reach 10 billion yuan, up 13.61 percent, and tax revenue of 503 million yuan, up 22 percent year-on-year.

The electronic information industry realized an industrial output value of 25.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 90.23 percent and the biggest contributor to total industrial output.

Beihai Industrial Park is located at the center of the Guangxi Beibu Bay Economic Zone, covering a total planning area of 19.3 square kilometers. The park, as one of 11 key industrial parks in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, consists of the China Electronic Beihai Industrial Park and Taiwan (Beihai) Electronic Industrial Park.

To date, the park has introduced 308 projects (enterprises) with a planned total investment of 38.2 billion yuan. Enterprises in the park include China Electronics Corp, China Great Wall Computer Group, TPV Technology, Netac, Sannuo Electronic, Jingguang Electronic, Guande Technology, Liuhe Technology, Huisheng Electronic, Guoyu Electronic, Yuchai Senior Lubricating Oil, Fuda Auto, Beingmate Food, South Korea's Taihua Wood, Chia Tai CP and Beihai Guofa. The projects cover industries such as electronic information, bio-pharmaceuticals, food processing, machine manufacturing, and new energy and new materials.

Construction of the Beihai National Scientific and Technological Innovation Base has been accelerated. The city has also sped up industrial structuring, strengthened innovation and enhanced industrial quality in order to construct the new Beihai Electronic Industrial Park in the Beibu Bay Economic Zone, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The park has a planning area of 21 square kilometers.

The city aims to build a 100-billion-yuan electronic information industry. In addition, it expects to become an important electronic information industry base in central and western China and an electronic product export base to ASEAN countries.
