Tropical Storm hits South China's Hainan

Tropical Storm Haitang looms over Qionghai city, south China’s Hainan province on the morning of September 26, 2011. The tropical storm, which began over South China Sea on Sunday morning, is expected to move westward at a speed of 10 to 15 km/h, according to the province’s weather forecast department. Most parts of Hainan have seen gales and heavy rains. As of 4 pm on Sunday, 27,000 fishing boats in the province had returned to harbors to avoid the storm. [Photo/Xinhua]
