Minority groups fully represented at two sessions

A combination image shows delegates from ethnic minority groups wearing traditional costumes during the opening ceremony for the National People's Congress (NPC), on March 5, 2010 and on the opening ceremony of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on March 3, 2010 in Beijing. All of China's 55 minority groups are represented at the meeting, from Mongolians and Koreans to the Muslim Uighurs and shamanistic Oroqen, and almost all come dressed in traditional clothing. China's parliament, the National People's Congress, opened its annual session on Friday, with China's Premier Wen Jiabao giving his work report and spelling out broad policy goals for 2010. [Photo/Agencies]
