British actor Daniel
Radcliffe, best known for playing Harry Potter, said he can't wait until he
turns 18 and gets access to a $39 million trust fund.
The sum from the Harry Potter movie series plus merchandising will make
Radcliffe the wealthiest teen idol in Britain, the Sun said Monday.
London-born Radcliffe received about $117,000 for his part in the first
movie, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" in 2001. By the time the fifth
film, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," opens this summer, it is
estimated the actor will be worth nearly $39 million.
He turns 18 on July 23 -- 10 days after the release of the fifth Harry Potter
movie and two days after the seventh book in the series of released.
