Ten designers from all over the world turned public facilities into artworks in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, during the recent 2014 Chengdu Creative Design Week.

Ordinary items such as a manhole cover, street light, trash can, and a bus stop were redesigned into artwork by distinguished designers from Italy, France, Brazil, the US, Germany, Israel, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

These artworks reflect the purpose of Chengdu Creative Design Week -- to light up the passion for creative ideas and pursue a better life with creativity.

The artworks are exhibit in different culture creativity zones in Chengdu.

French designer Françoise Onillon named her artwork "poetry in the sky of the city". She said it not only looks like a bunch of flowers, but it gives one a kind of feeling like a gust of wind with the scent of flowers gently touching the sky.
