TIANJIN - An explosion occurred Sunday afternoon in a residential building in North China's Tianjin municipality, with casualties still unknown.
The explosion happened around 3 pm in an apartment on the building's top floor. Witnesses saw thick smoke and flames following a loud bang, and the entire building shook.
Residents are being evacuated as a large number of firemen came to the rescue, a Xinhua reporter said at the scene.
