 Large Medium  SmallA five-day expo on the cross-Straits machinery industry has attracted some 541 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions. More than 100 exhibitors from Taiwan are also attending.
The 3rd Cross-Straits Machinery Industry Exposition began on Wednesday in Longyan city in East China’s Fujian province.
Deals for two foreign-invested projects, with a total investment of $70 million, are expected to be signed at the expo, along with 38 domestic projects worth 19.73 billion yuan ($3.16 billion).
Zhang Zhaomin, the mayor of Longyan, said the expo, after two years of development, has become an important platform to showcase the Chinese mainland and Taiwan’s machinery products, and will help boost development of the machinery industry on both sides.
