A crossing tower for an ultra high voltage cable transferring electricity from Anhui province to Shanghai at south side of the Yangtze River was completed on Oct 28.
The tower is part of a megaproject which consists of 1,421 iron towers starting west from Huainan, Anhui province carrying electricity 656 kilometers to Shanghai.
The project is due to be completed at the end of 2013 which will send more than 500 billion KWH per year.
Now the project has entered to the most important section of crossing the Yangtze River.
