The report on non-State-owned enterprises' cases last year in Huangpu district in Shanghai was issued on Sept 20, the first time a local court in the municipality has analyzed such cases.
According to statistics released by Shanghai's Huangpu district court, 78 percent of the cases filed in the court for 2011 were lawsuits related to non-SOEs.
The majority of those lawsuits were disputes over sales contracts, which are not regulated by the enterprises.
The court suggested the local enterprises set up law departments to avoid such disputes in the future and to make improvements on financing the law system in the enterprises to minimize the risks of deal-making.
