Another 30 million yuan was given to neighboring Guizhou province, which was also affected by the quakes on Friday.

Disaster relief materials, including 10,000 tents, 20,000 quilts and 20,000 cotton-padded overcoats, have also been sent to quake-hit areas, the ministry said.

Multiple earthquakes hit a mountainous area in Yunnan on September 7, leaving 81 people dead and 821 injured.

An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale jolted Southwest China's Yunnan province at 11:21 am Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
