UK website lures Chinese netizens

UK company, Ashton Lord Ltd, will launch a new shopping website in China on August 8.

The website, mydimymy.com, is the first of its kind in China as all the products are made in the EU, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The products will be courier shipped directly to consumers in China. The company guarantees that all products purchased on the website are genuine. Most of the products will be accessories, such as Italian leather bags, French jewelry, clothes and high-quality office equipment.

Sales in China’s online shopping market will reach 2551 billion yuan ($400 billion) in 2015, according to iResearch Inc, a Shanghai-based market research firm.

In 2011 online sales hit 773.6 billion yuan, with the number of customers shopping over the Internet reaching 187 million.
