Desk and seat hot property

Space in two study rooms at the University of Jinan is being rented out to students looking for somewhere to read over the summer break, Qilu Evening News reported on Wednesday.

For 570 yuan ($89), students can reserve a seat and a desk for two weeks and enjoy free hot water and air-conditioning.

Of about 300 available spaces, only about 20 seats and desks were still available as of Wednesday.

It is not the first time desks and seats have been rented on university campuses.

In March 2011 Huazhong Agricultural University rented desks and seats in their library for 40 yuan per month.
