State-level domestic trade plan will be made out

The importance of stimulating the consumption of household electrical appliance, vehicle, motorcycle and building materials within the 12th Five-Year Plan period from 2011 to 2015, has been highlighted by Fang Aiqing, assistant commerce minister, the Shanghai Securities News reported on Friday.

The first state-level development plan for domestic trade will be worked out soon, according to Fang and will involve wholesale, retail, catering and other service industries, and manufacturing, and encourage the production of goods particularly for rural markets.

Besides the State's plan, some local governments have also made their own local plans for domestic trade for the 12th Five-Year Plan period, Fang said.

"Achievement has been made in the market system construction in recent years," said Fang.

There were 4,940 different types of market identified with annual trade volume of more than 100 million yuan ($15.71 million) in 2010 and total trade turnover of 730 billion yuan.

Central finance has already spent 5.79 billion yuan on building the circulation system for farm products.
