Goldwind Science and Technology Co Ltd, China's largest wind turbine maker, said it has received approval to connect turbines of the Gullen Range project to the Australia grid, according to a company statement on July 4.
Gullen Range, with 182 megawatts of capacity, is Goldwind's largest overseas project and the second wind farm in Australia. The project now has both a grid connection agreement and a power purchase agreement.
"We are looking forward to energizing the wind farm in late 2013," said John Titchen, managing director of Goldwind Australia.
