Foundation holds annual meeting

The annual meeting of China Foundation for Peace and Development kicks off in Tianjin on July 3, 2012.

Sun Jiazheng, vice chairman of CPPCC and president of China Foundation for Peace and Development attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

According to Sun, under the complex and changing international background, the civil diplomacy shoulders great responsibility in promoting bilateral and multilateral communications.

Sun said that the Foundation needs to further perfect management and establish system. Properly handling charity work as also promoting cultural exchange is a must. Sun also said that it's very important to enhance brand awareness.

Li Jinjun, vice minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC and honorable vice president of China Foundation for Peace and Development, said that the Foundation has gained remarkable success in the past year and as the guiding unit, the department will help the Foundation to deal with all possible difficulties.

As a national non-profit organization, the Foundation approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the State and was registered and founded in January 2011 in Beijing. The purpose of it is to take active part in international civil communications and cooperation, develop international public activities, and promote the peaceful development of the world and common prosperity.
