Police on June 19 arrested a woman who was involved in a traffic accident that killed four people and injured seven in Hanzhong, Shaanxi province.
The woman, 36-year-old Sun Yali from Maojiagou village in the city's Mianxian county, was allegedly drunk while driving in a downtown street of the city at about 9:15 pm on June 17, police said.
A person died on the spot, while three died later in a local hospital after sustaining serious injuries. Seven other people were injured and are in stable condition.
Police took Sun to the hospital for a blood test, which showed that her blood alcohol content was 100mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood, higher than the legal limit of 80mg/100ml.
