The counter is located at the Chengdu Xinyu Sanbao watch shop in downtown Chengdu, across the street from Yanlord Landmark Plaza, the site of flagship stores of many international luxury brands, including Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Prada, Ermenegildo Zegna and Hugo Boss.
"Previously, Burberry's watch counters were set up in branded stores," said Susan Wang, a marketing specialist at the counter.
"Opening the watch counter in Chengdu demonstrates the importance that Burberry attaches to the Chengdu market," Wang said.
Chengdu has become China's third-largest market for luxury goods, according to a market survey report released by Forbes magazine in 2012.
