Entrepreneur Yang Zongfu has received 21 orders for his doomsday ark, which he claims can withstand the end of the world, reported by Oriental Outlook, a Shanghai magazine attached to Xinhua News Agency on Oct 24, 2012. The most expensive ark comes at a price of five million yuan ($799,500).
According to the report, all the orders are in accordance with customer requests and each ark has its own custom-built interior design. The prices start from one million yuan.
Chinadaily.com.cn previously reported on Aug 6, 2012 that Yang, 32, from Yiwu, Zhejiang province had announced his invention of "Atlantis", a gigantic ark that would be able to withstand doomsday, which according to the Mayan calendar, will occur on Dec 21, 2012.
