Cat rescued from car engine

A bank employee in Yuyao, Zhejiang province, surnamed Zhu, heard the engine of her car "meowing" when she drove to work on Friday. After stopping the vehicle and popping the hood for a check, she realized that there was a cat stuck in the engine.

Zhu immediately called firefighters for help. With the assistance of car mechanics, firefighters freed the feline. But it then bolted into the bottom of the vehicle and refused to come out.

Lying belly-down on the street, the firefighters finally coaxed the cat out.

Now the lucky cat has been sent to a pet hospital for a check-up and the car owner said she was willing to adopt it.
